I heard there is a 30% chance of somewhere in the UK getting the lowest ever recorded temperature tonight.

I admit It's a bit vague as an anecdote but I didn't make it up.

no saw the weather forecast man say on the news that he had just finished the chart for tonight, was the worst one he had done in 20 years

a Primark shoebox in Leicester

Luckily I am off out in a bit. Which means I can set the heating to 19 degrees and it will still feel like an oven when I come in out of the sub-zero.

Finished in the home office now, so time to stoke the wood fire and get cooking.

Live under Gatwick flight path, so unusual to not have a plane every few minutes, but with snow, ash and strikes it has been surprisingly common in the last 12 months.

when I cook tea for the kids I keep only making enough for them...lol...mind is going a bit...lol

we got 15 cm here last night,kids loved playing in it this morning. I think I will be pretty much staying in all weekend as live at the bottom of a hill and road and path up to main road sheer ice.Some idiot students this morning thought it would be a brilliant idea to sledge down the path by my house,compacting the snow and it is now sheer ice.Already had 1 person with a nasty headache as they walked down the rest of the path..normal snow,and stepped onto that part and feet came right out from under her,straight back head on ice.(no I don't sit watching the path..lol..happened to be one of the twins teachers from preschool)
