So in the event of the colonisation of Mars, who should run it? Is it an extension of Earth or should all the Marslings form their own planet rewrite all laws and prevent the introduction of "old ways".

Modern countries have done well in creating "New worlds"?

And yes I know Mars isn't being built on within the next 6months

Probably best if the British and Americans don't get involved, not exactly the best track record of re-settling people

Whoever gets there first and colonises it,if it ever happens. Do we actually have the resources to build an habitat on Mars that is self-sustainable?

Whoever gets a colony there first should make rules for their own colony.

"Nestle? "

They succeeded, they weren't considerate to the indigenous peoples living there already. It would be a mixture of nationalities, the best of the scientific community I would think. Some good breeding stock would be needed too. It's all very science fiction to me. Will we live on Mars or survive?

I vote for the numb nuts who suggested digging up three roundabouts on the Leeds ring road all at once.. he / she must be on a different planet to do that..

One way ticket for the numb nut

Imagine if there are Martians actually living underground.

They'll not be happy to see a Maccy D's or Starbucks pop up on their planet.

On a related subject, has anyone seen the "spacecraft" the Rover has spotted?

I'm not bothered who runs it, but I'm certainly not going until Tesco expands their home delivery network.

Spacecraft? Don't tell me...this is a Dail mail story about illegal immigrants taking everyone's jobs on Mars?

They should fight other aliens for it. Not with an army or anything but 1 on 1 combat.

Or maybe have a Big Brother type scenario but we are watching them to decide who will not be allowed to have Mars and vote people off. We can vote off everyone if we want to, so that many series can happen until we find someone we want running it...in fact why not do elections this way?

I want paying if anyone uses my ideas.
