Private parts made me think of this thread with his tips

Any genuine good household tips,

Here is mine, if you have boots or shoes that get white salt marks on, mix one tablespoon of vinegar with a cup of lukewarm water and rub boots/shoes until it goes then buff them up. Works brilliantly, I thought my boots where ruined but look like new.

A bowl of steaming hot water and lemon juice is great for cleaning microwaves and ovens. Just place inside, let the steam get to work and after 5 mins you can shift any thing.

You're welcome

If you've no silver dip, mix one litre of water, one table spoon of baking soda and one piece of tin foil to a boil. Drop silverware in, making sure it comes into contact with foil.

Baking soda reacts with acids so helps with removing stuff from surfaces during the chemical reaction. It's slightly alkaline too, good for cleaning when mixed as a paste.

I think Kim and Aggy used to suggest it as the only really must-have in household cleaning products

I used to have an old house hints book, not sure what happened to it, but I remember a lot of baking soda was used, I used to put a teaspoon in the bath when my son had chicken pox

Sage advice for when you throw a sickie and go to a televised sporting event too cricket coverage especially likes showing the crowd
