Comfort food...

Edinburgh

I'm a bit poorly... it's just a bit of a cold so no sympathy required.

I have coffee and supplies which is a serious stroke of luck cause I'm generally not very organised in the fridge department.

I woke up this morning and all I want is a square sausage buttie. It's my go to good when I feel rubbish. With lashings of ketchup!

What's your favourite feeling sorry for yourself food?

It's okay... I'm not 'ist' about edibles... whatever makes you happy when you feel crap is good.

Junk food mainly some kind of takeaway or something sweet like chocolate. I'm terrible if I've had a stressful day at work.

It's a Scottish thing. The proper name is Lorne Sausage... if you google you'll see it. Wiki gives the history.

If I can be arsed, cheese scones.

If not, cheese on toast and a massive mug of tea.

little house on the praire

When my bi polar so bad I can't get out of bed, my mum used to come round and make me beef and tomato cup a soup with a plain cheese sandwich on plain brown bread cut into soldiers and bring it up to me. Only thing I would eat.

Good old Heinz Tomato Soup, if I have a cold. If taste buds are still intact then salt and vinegar crisps dipped in.

My ears have been permanently blocked for 12 days, eating is a pain so I can't even seek comfort myself. So I will virtually slurp to your good health
