one of the outside pipes has burst and the cold water to my flat has been cut off - does that mean i cant use the loo???

Possibly not depends on how its fed, if its mains then obviously not, if its fed by cistern in loft then yes you can but cistern will be fed by mains so will end up empty in time

No. But it means you'll only get one flush! lol If you still have hot water, you could use that to refill cistern.

found some more info out - its only the cold tap to the kitchen sink so guess its ok to pop to the loo now then - phew!!

If you cant flush the loo just throw a bowl of water down it that will flush it
