So its another, yes another tube strike, you heard it right tomorrow for 4 days. When will they learn they wont get what they want by striking? They did get offered another 200£ on top of their wage of 50k but didn't want it.

Are they bringing down the reputation for London as the tube cant be reliable? It will cost London millions during them days. Whats your views of them striking?

I'm still unsure of what they are striking for. Being asked to work extra hours for no more pay? Shift pattern changes with no accounting for night shift rates? Not enough pay rise ?

Strikes are really annoying. Makes them seem like petulant toddlers too.

I have 0 sympathy for the staff, the incessant strikes demonstrate that they have no respect for their customers.

They got a better offer than before the strike, but they want more than that so are striking again.

I'd say it is working...

Whatever happens the increase in their pay will be passed on to commuters.

Personally I dont agree with strikes generally, where is the money going to come from whilst the people are on strike.

In a world where progressively more jobs are being automated surely going on strike just provides ammo for the argument of totally automating the service and doing away with the staff in the first place. Yup they may get a few more pounds in their pocket for a couple of years and then they are on the dole. Seriously short sighted.

Then they may as well strike if you're already against them.

Striking because they "may as well" is dumb.

Just as well that's not why they're doing it then.

Which is because there will have been some movement by LUL in what they were going to impose without consultation..

further talks may resolve the issue, but without the action taken and the threat of this weeks action the staff would have had changes to their contracts imposed..

so in this case for them its progress..
