Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

How do you feel about the BBC not awarding the weather forecasting contract to the Met Office?

Can we trust another supplier of weather forecasts for the UK?

Could we ever really trust the met office?

"Could we ever really trust the met office?"

So should we be scrapping the Met Office? It's publicly funded.

I think it's a shame to outsource it.

I still rely on the MetOffice for my forecasts.

With the loss of the money from the BBC will they still be able to do all that they do?

I'm not sure what will happen to the Countryfile forecast; it's my favourite one.

I think it's a very public passive-aggressive protest.

Expect more of this headline grabbing sort of thing related to services as the BBC comes under increasing fire.

You're probably right.

There will be an outcry if it's announced Spain's Met Office got the contract.

Brighton - even Hove!

The Met Office weather reports are dumbed down anyway. Since when has a cloud mass been described as a 'lump'?

Greece's will do it for 40 cigs, a microwave dinner and a handshake.

Should we just do away with the forecasts on the BBC? That would save them a lot more money than awarding the contract to a cheaper provider?

Sunshine all the way then.
