Somehow ended up with a tan in November.

"Over 8 million residents, more than double that if you then factor in those who live around London specifically to be near to London for work or leisure. People from all over the UK coming here to live and work; if it's so great everywhere else and the "rest of the country is supporting London" then why are they coming here? http://www.cityam.com/221032/london-leads-way-when-it-comes-economic-growth The investment in infrastructure in London isn't just for us Londoners, and arguably it's for everyone other than Londoners with the disruption it causes to our daily lives just so that you can pop down and see the sights. I love London but I get really fed up with the myth that London is supported at the expense of the rest of the country. We have some of the poorest boroughs in the country - you can look it up on the Indices of Multiple Deprivation, although this is due to be updated soon. London is a beacon for many and does call to them. I won't knock your area for no apparent reason than to say mine is better. London isn't for everyone but it's home and work for many more millions than anywhere else in the UK. " unlike the rest of european capitals all of goverment and its main infastructure is there in the capital so thats one of the reasons all other businness is linked in, try being like the powerhouse of germany and paris where they have diversified goverment to represent the country and not just the capital.. look the documentary about this on bbc archive

If you get used to the cooling towers and steriod pigeons it is not too bad.

Guess what, that led to jobs and increased prosperity in the regions outside of London. When those jobs we lost it hit the regions harder . You can't have a 'let market forces' rule world and then dictate where business should locate. They decide where is best for them. You go on to say that the people in London are colder than elsewhere in the country. It's another myth and basic misunderstanding that you just can't do things the same way when you have every nationality on earth in one place and the sheer numbers here in London. One to one Londoners are much the same as people elsewhere. Of course you then have to ask what is a Londoner? Is it that person from Middlesborough who moved down here and were they cold/distant/rude/whatever when they were in Middlesborough?

"Londoners should pay more tax " Why? Isn't the tax take from London more than any other region? It's estimated that £1 of every £5 earned in London is used to subsidise the rest of the country.

"Tax take per person may be the same as the rest of the country, but your outgoing expenditure liability is most likely considerably more than other parts of the UK. " We also pay more for just about everything than the rest of the country. I make the point again that some of that spend in and on London isn't for the benefit of Londoners but for you visiting London or to do business. Scotland costs a lot because it's got so much space and so few people, other regions may have similar problems. Your argument would mean they should pay more per head. Perhaps London should cede from the rest of the UK and become an independent state as has been argued by some. http://www.independent.co.uk/news/business/analysis-and-features/could-london-become-a-separate-city-state-9089179.h

"London is probably owned by many other countries other than the UK. Do you want your cities to become like London? Or just want the money it attracts? Do you want the overcrowded trains, the high prices and rents? The pollution? The fee to drive through it? " Bet the Rugby players thighs looked great tho
