Can you link a external Web cam to a tablet and join in all the Web cam fun you lot are having

yes and no

all depends on your tablet that your using

if you can get the apps to work on the tablet

also depends on how much cpu power the tablet has

there is another way by using an ip camera connects directly to your modem device

Ok sounds promising it's a Samsung tablet so android. We're not good with tech lol can you explain in laments terms

In theory the OS won't matter. Would imagine you would need a decent webcam that has Bluetooth connectivity.

This way you are using predefined software rather than trying to get the tablet to recognise a plug and play device

Doesn't the tablet have camera built in

Forward facing preferably or rear facing with a clever mirror system

Otherwise as mentioned Bluetooth or wireless connectable one maybe needed as lack of USB on tablet,

The chat room here doesn't work with mobile device OSs. It won't work with Android tablets.

Well it does have cameras front and back. But if mobiles don't work guess it be the same. Thanks for your advice all of you. But if any one knows of it working let us know. But looks like will be off to buy a lap top lol
