Day out in London tomorrow taking my lad to see the Star Wars exhibition at Tussauds then maybe off to the natural history museum! Got my alarm set for 6am! Earlier than I get up on work days but I don't care.. I'm so excited!! Errrr I mean he's so excited

Have you got your route planned? Doing both Tussauds and the Natural History is a lot of walking and standing.

It's going to be 30 degrees in London so make sure you have lots of water with you, especially for the queue to the Natural History (go to one of the side entrance queues as I have found them to be shorter and quicker to get through).

The tube is easy. You only have to cross the road and then the walk through the tunnel when you get to South Ken usually has something going on.

There will be a massive queue for anything in London tomorrow. Take food with you,even if you plan to eat in a restaurant or McDees. You could starve to death in the queue. Be aware of pickpockets and bag dippers too. Have a great time and if you can have a little river bus ride along the Thames,it criss crosses so you get a good view of both sides

Have a great day in London, so much fun to be had.

As Lickety metioned its going to be a hot one so would be great to take advantage of one of the parks after a crowded Madam T's. The Princess Dianna memorial garden has a lovely play area, sand and a pirate boat type climbing frame or The Serpentine in Hyde Park would be lovely too.

If you coming in to London Bridge its only a short walk to the Hays galleria which has a big ship thing in it, and HMS Belfast is right next to it too..

+1 for the Science museum...they've a great kids area with a gazillion buttons to press (more interesting for Dads too!0. I reckon the queue for the Natural History museum will be very big....the Science museum (which is only a few minutes walk) is often easier to get into.

Got to Tussauds at 9.15 when we came out 2.5 hours later it was 30 degrees and the queue was huuuuuuuge! No way would I of stood that long in that heat!
