I have a face pic showing on my profile... I ask for one to be sent during first message to save everyone's time. I'm not one for meeting someone I am not physically attracted to. And message tennis is not what I'm here for. So it's best to establish straight away what may or may not happen.

In my time on here experience has shown the volume of messages I receive doesn't decrease if I just have only boob shots on my profile. The fact I'm female is enough for most blokes.

That said what I find attractive is very dependent on attitude too... And I tend to go for the unconventional guys

If you are contacting them first I believe you should show your face first.

When someone shows me their face there are 2 courses of action- 'no thanks not my type (or delete and block) or- 'here's my face pic, I hope you like it'.

If I contacted someone first I would absolutely attach my face pic. I choose not to have face pics on my profile for privacy reasons, although 'friends' can see them.

I find this attitude towards the women on here quite worrying. OK, there are some who have the most ridiculous rules on their profiles, but there is no need to message them. The only people making men jump through hoops for meets with these women when there are plenty of others who are much more relaxed are themselves.

Which makes no sense because clearly the OP has no public face pics or nobody would have to ask.

So the OP is actually expecting women to do something he is unwilling to do himself.

OP, I wouldn't meet someone without seeing their face photo. I wouldn't expect someone to meet me without seeing my face photo.

If neither of us has public face photos, someone has to send first.

My rule is whichever person sends the first message sends their face photo first. If I send a first message, I usually send my face pic with it. I don't understand why you wouldn't.

Once a guy sends his face photo, assuming he sent the first message, if I am interested in meeting him, I'll send mine back. I don't see the point otherwise. We won't be meeting so he doesn't need to know what I look like.

Nobody has to do it my way, of course. Everyone has a choice and is free to say no. I won't be meeting them though, which is my choice, which I am free to make.

I think Bothynichts and Wyrdwoman, you are both right.

I have seen a few woman making very extensive demands specified in their profile, to be met before even considering

meeting somebody (well so it says on their profile) and tbh I have a few "don'ts" on mine.

Equally I have seen guys throwing their toys out the cot because they did not get an instant (positive) answer to their (sometimes unimaginative) messages.

There are always some who don't follow the generally accepted unwritten code on this site - the majority are quite sensible and genuine in their behaviour, both on and off the forums.

Just my experience over the past few years.

Seconded - and I would not meet anybody unless I had seen their face picture. For one it is a matter of attraction (and faces are more important to most women than to most men) and also I want to know how to recognise the person.

How are they abusing the fact that women are in short supply and high demand?

They can make their own rules, as can men, but nobody can force anybody to do anything. If the terms the woman, or man, is specifying are not to your liking, move on.

I could say that the Aston Martin abuse their position and moan about the price of their cars compared to a Fiesta. In fact, I just choose not to buy an Aston Martin.

Sure, some women have very demanding profiles but there's no abuse of any position. Anyone choosing to message them, or meet them, is doing so of their own free will.

Some men also have unreasonable demands - like the men mentioned on this thread who want to meet without exchanging face photos. Women don't start threads moaning about that though because they're in the minority, (as are the demanding women), and we move on.

I didn't spot that....

Just in my own experience, I've never had any problems whatsoever in just chatting and meeting folk on here, never felt like the women have control, never felt anything other than it being normal really.

Of course I've had plenty rejections but that's the same as normal life

I was on here as a couple too... he usually took the last say.

You know how the threads about men has someone saying "don't tar us all with the same brush"? this is like that.

Not all women are princesses, have a sense of entitlement, make endless demands etc.

I keep my full face picture private until I feel comfortable enough to share it. I don't demand a face picture before chatting but I better see one before meeting or it's not going to happen.

I have had men refuse to send face pictures but ask for them from me, usually asking to be added as as friend in the hope, I assume, that I will have something titillating in my gallery (I don't).

Just because a face picture isn't on public display and a woman, or a man, is asking to see one doesn't mean there isn't one to send.

The only people making men jump through hoops for meets with these women when there are plenty of others who are much more relaxed are themselves."

The strangest thing seems to be that the people who MAKE others jump through hoops seem to do quite well. I think some must enjoy hoop jumping... and complaining about it.

I do all the messaging and I ask for a face picture without sending one, I say look good so far let me see a face pic then so I can see how handsome you are...

Always get face pictures back, if they are handsome which is fucking rare as fuck I'll send one back, if they aren't then I mark the message as unread!

We are the same, if we message someone with 1st contact we send face pictures, we also expect the same if someone contacts us. If we don't exchange face picture early on in the fist few messages we halt the conversations as feel there is no point

People run their profiles in a way that suits them. Some profiles make me go but they have loads of verifications which means it works for them!

If I don't like a profile for whatever reason I move on as obviously we aren't a match. I wouldn't be berating others because they conduct themselves differently to me.

I get asked for face pics and if I like the look of them, I send them, asking for one in return.

But most men just ask for face pics for no reason... It's not like most of them ever look me in the eye when I'm wearing nothing walking around in a club C xx
