You do realise that a lot of women end up without the choice of having natural boobs? Those who've been through cancer might not feel exactly great reading your comment.

After everything they've been through, being told only natural is good enough and they are less desirable is really hurtful. Some already have a hard time coming to terms with losing a breast (or both) and have body issues because of it. Saying HAVE to be natural is pretty thoughtless when some don't have a choice and are having a hard time dealing with that.

Talk to a man about bewbs and any common sense they had runs away. I would *guess* that women who had to have surgery due to medical reasons wouldn't have crossed his mind on a light hearted thread about the perfect boobs. Of course I can't speak for him but I'd be very surprised if it had. The emphasis on HAVE to be natural, I read as his preference. I wasn't offended by that and if I'd had a boob job for cosmetic reasons I'd think 'well that's one less bloke I have to please'. I can't say how I'd feel if I'd had surgery for medical reasons because I haven't. " Fair enough but please remember that, as TD points out, having a mastectomy is a very traumatic event and it happens quickly after diagnosis giving the woman little time to adjust. Women in this situation could be forgiven for being a bit body conscious and sensitive or perhaps not thinking entirely rationally. These 'perfect' whatever and 'which is best' threads really have the power to hurt people, some of them in vulnerable places.

".Not even going there" If you're happy knowing your remark, even if not meant to be hurtful, could upset someone who didn't have a choice about surgery, that's up to you. As suggested, maybe the thought hadn't crossed your mind. It has now. Whether you opt to actually consider it is another matter and is, again, entirely up to you.

I don't really think that we need to remind anyone how traumatic any surgery is, it goes without saying that changing your appearance so drastically to beat cancer regardless of where it is. This I can speak of from experience. Being conscious of a scar is a big deal for the person wearing it. It needs perspective though and if we were all to be sensitive to everyone else's issues all of the time, we'd never talk about anything for fear of upsetting someone. Again I can't speak for the person who made the comment but I can understand why he wouldn't want to tackle trying to respond to you about it. You scare me a little too!

" I'm not scary. My writing style is a bit abrupt and I have strong opinions but I'm not scary. Ask anyone that's met me, (outside of a dungeon or roleplay scenario at least )." Yeah maybe abrupt is nearer the mark. I like strong opinions and I love that you stick to your guns when you believe in something and you don't give a shit who agrees/disagrees. Good qualities. I just feel it's a little harsh to make a bloke feel bad for not thinking of the effects of breast cancer, something that probably only women would consider in a thread about what makes a good pair of knickers. Of course, you could take him down the dungeon and show him the error of his ways!

My comment was MY opinion...MY preference is for natural...i am truly sorry for anyone who has had to have surgery but if we all consider offending people the forums would be empty... So lets not mention hairy chests as guys could be going through chemo Lets not mention height because someone could have lost a leg Lets not mention a 1000 other things because somewhere down the line someone will be deeply hurt... OR... lets let people have their opinions and comments freely displayed without people tearung into them and dissecting every word negatively...personally i think the way you have constantly reminded the people that have had surgery and that they should feel hurt and offended at what the loss you keep driving home... Is a little more hurtful. Enjoy the rest of your day. jD" I'd of written that if I wasn't so illiterate ha ha but hits the nail on the head

My intention was really to make him aware that some people don't have a choice and some will be upset by the wording. My own writing didn't come across that way. I'm usually more abrupt when the comments are hurtful, or potentially hurtful, to others. However, the last thread I saw where real vs augmented was discussed included such lovely phrases as "tupperware tits" and a post saying fake boobs look like two tennis balls stuck to velcro. There was real fallout from that thread and I'm a bit over-sensitive about the real v augmented argument now.

That's not a guess on my part. You prefer natural breasts, great. Saying they HAVE to be natural, with the emphasis, was thoughtless. Would you honestly turn down someone you liked because they'd had breast reconstruction? You are absolutely entitled to your preference but it would be nice if you could bear the potential effect of what you say in mind and phrase it a bit more thoughtfully. I was willing to believe you didn't consider the case of breast reconstruction when you wrote your post. Now it sounds as if you were absolutely aware but just don't care because other things may upset other people so it's ok if you do it too. Nice attitude. I wouldn't even have responded to you again if you hadn't carried on with the 'I'm not going there' comment.

You cannot and should not have to stop and consider every person who might read your post, especially if it's on a thread about perfect tits! If you have a hangup about a breast related issue then I would suggest it's down to your own good judgement and ultimate lack thereof if you click onto a thread that's clearly about great breasts and start reading! It's clear common sense and I find some posts utterly infuriating to read when the perpetually outraged show up and start causing trouble over nothing.

"Jeeeeez there's always one or two who make a harmless fun post more than what it is, it is what it is a harmless fun debate! Im personally not a boob man, I love a sexy pair of eyes, nice legs and a sexy lil bum :D " FFS. It may not have been intentionally harmful but it's not harmless. It's hurtful. And if nobody points it out then people who aren't affected by it never realise. Of course some continue to be hurtful even once they realise but that's behaving like an arsehole.

"Well mine are literally getting smaller week by week, I started of at 46e now 38d are to big. Help lol Weirdly my tits get bigger when I lose weight. Mine stayed roughly the same in terms of proportion last time but got droopy. I am anxious about what they'll do next time. It's one if the things that puts me off losing weight. I keep sabotaging my own efforts at the moment. mine are like spaniels ears, but I seriously couldn't careless, you can get decent underwear I'm fit, healthy and more people see me with my clothes on than off, I'm not defined by my boobs, if a guy wants a 50 year old whose still got perk boobs then he's not going to go for me" All very good points. I may print that out and put it on my 'fridge. I'm not sure what my parents would make of it next time they're here though

"Jeeeeez there's always one or two who make a harmless fun post more than what it is, it is what it is a harmless fun debate! Im personally not a boob man, I love a sexy pair of eyes, nice legs and a sexy lil bum :D FFS. It may not have been intentionally harmful but it's not harmless. It's hurtful. And if nobody points it out then people who aren't affected by it never realise. Of course some continue to be hurtful even once they realise but that's behaving like an arsehole." Oh you never did just call me an arsehole!! Ha ha!! Really?

" I think we have to be a little more tolerant here - people who have had operations are usually far more robust and understanding than they have been given credit for on this thread. And in any event where does it stop. We can't talk about lovely legs because of amputees, we can't talk about hair because of those with alopecia, we can't talk about eyes because of the blind, or perhaps even about personalities because of those that don't have one. You mention in your profile you don't like bad teeth. That could be offensive for people who can't help their teeth. Let's keep things in perspective.
