It made me wonder... How many people in relationships perform certain acts (or would perform) for their partners pleasure, despite not enjoying the experience themselves or perhaps finding it uncomfortable I.e. pegging..?

I did 'something' once for someone who liked it. I felt really bad afterwards. I guess it was so ingrained in me that it was wrong. I also couldn't come to terms with the fact that he'd do something to me knowing I didn't like it or relish it even though I'd said okay ... let's try it.

Changed my feelings toward sex with him totally.

Not toward sex. Just toward sex with him.

I've been to (what I would consider) some rather dark places, well outside my comfort zone at the behest of a partner.

I eventually came to the conclusion that he was bad for my mental health and dropped him.

I guess there's a difference (albeit a fine line) between doing something you don't like as you know your partner likes it and doing something you don't WANT to do. I'll do stuff I don't particularly like if I know it makes someone I love happy, but I don't do stuff I don't want to do (and wouldn't expect anyone for me either).

For example I'm not into cross dressing etc but if a partner really wanted me to do it as it turned them on I might do it to make them happy, but if they were into scat and wanted to do some dirty sports on me, no matter how much it turned them on there's no way I would ever do it!

I have done, used to let an ex have anal even though i wasn't that much into it. It was rare we did it and i didn't hate or i wouldn't have done it at all.

Also had an ex i did fetish stuff with, ended up enjoying it.

I think so long as i don't hate something then i'll do it, in a relationship though coz i couldn't give a fuck about NSA people wanting stuff i'm not into.

The marrieds having boring sex you mean? I know of at least one who has a wonderful family , wife , home and job who does that on here.

Sad that so many think that sex is the be all and end all. I hate to see it used as an excuse.

I think that's it in a nutshell really. Chips are not my favourite way to eat potato but Mr N likes them so we have them occasionally but if a casual acquaintance asked me to have chips with them I'd say "no thanks"
