i paid 120 quid to insure a bike, after 3 months i sold it, cancelled the policy and told no refund as this is swallowed in admin fees, they didnt charge me to set up the policy, some charge 35 just to change address , or job details

you used £30. 90 admin an profit. sounds fair especialy with bikes. bikes are only really used for three days of summer.

I would like to point out that FORUM INSURANCE only offers a return of premium in cases of cancellation when the canceler is a 5th Dan at Mornington Crescent.

What about some of us who commute in all weather's, I do 1000 miles in just over 3 weeks.

I was quoted 540 for the year fully comp including break down cover on an Astra Cdti Sri covering 12000 miles.

Having just changed jobs tho I needed cover up to 40000 miles including full business use.

I compared the meerkat and got full cover as required for 357!

If I cancel etc I loose pro rata for what I used plus 40 quid admin. Check the small print.

Would advise anyone to shop around.

This sounds like an argument for paying monthly.

I'm confused. You paid £130 for a years worth of insurance yet only used 3 months worth but didn't get a refund.

Don't think that's right. OK there would be an admin charge but not for equalling the remainder of the premium.

Id look at your terms and conditions.

but some will only insure for summer then cancel and get there full year for 30 quid. this is quite specific to bikes. the company still needs to make there profit. somebody qouted40 quid admin charge. thats fifty to run a business and profit.

what about you who cummute in all weathers?
