My fresh cream and strawberry sponge is unrivalled. I got the sponge recipe from someone here. My fave cake is Christmas cake or fruit cake with more fruit than cake. Those cup cakes do nothing for me,they look pretty but taste foul most of the time.

Sigh! At last I can talk freely. Victoria sponge with jam and buttercream. Swoon.

Served on bone china with a cake fork, embroidered linen and tea from a tea pot.

Fussy! Moi?

I'd prefer something savoury.

Olives, dips, continental meats would be lovely

I love making Christmas cake. Getting the blend of spices just to my taste, feeding it with spiced rum and drambuie for a month.
