I know i am probably getting old when i say this, but a neighbour plays really basy music.

you can almost guarantee when there is a little nice weather they will have their doors and windows open and music on.

I actually don't have a problem with that, and the level isn't too high, what gets me is the way the bass carries. It penetrates my garden and rattles my brain can't hear any melody or rhythm just an infernal dumm dumm du-du dumm

it actually gives me a headache and I have to come inside

You can never have too much bass

My current sound system puts out 141dB

Although I don't run that level in built up areas, mainly just at shows

cant say much here as i play it anyway and other types of music

but most of all its the bass that i like and do play it loud enough when i want to do

even though nowadays it does tend to give me a headache

I don't really want to complain tho as every one round here are descent people, I'm concerned that ill appear to be a grumpy neighbour

It's the base that annoys me, it's like some one tapping on my head repetitively

I know I may seem strange but I'm not really a music fan so don't tend to have it on.

They arnt being unreasonable it's not blearing it's never on late, and it's not especially shitty music tbh. It's just bassy.

And try as I might I can't help being irritated by it.

I do think that on a nice day a lot of people like to have music on

This is why I invest in decent headphones - I can watch/listen to whatever I want as loudly as I want and it doesn't bother anyone.
