I know which is cheaper and which is healthier.

I'm still torn.

Help me do the right thing here, please!

Depends what you have on the potato, but if you have chilli and cheese to put on the potato, might that influence your decision?

"Jacket sweet potato with cottage cheese! "

I have neither of those things in the house and I am not going out to the shops.

It's baking potatoes or takeaway. Them is my options.

I tend to only have one once every 2-3 weeks. I'm trying to eat more healthily though.

I have a food shop being delivered tomorrow, and I've not got much food in the house.

You're right though, takeaway is usually a let down when it actually arrives.

"What would you have on the spud?"

It'd be with salad and either beans or tuna and sweetcorn.

Spud would win for me. I love jacket potato.

Get a curry and rice. Save half of the curry to put on the spud tomorrow. 2 birds. 1 stone.

Haha. I'm going to riffle through the cupboards and freezer again.

I seem to have a lot of very random things. For example, a bag of cashew nuts, some very high cocoa content chocolate which is far too bitter to eat by itself, a tin of coconut milk, a jar of pasta sauce with mushrooms (I detest mushrooms) and other assorted stuff that doesn't amount to anything useful.

I must admit it's not much fun for one, but I have a batch cooking day, cook a few different dishes and freeze most of it.

I only ever have pizza as a takeaway cos I simply can't recreate a hot'n'spicy like they make at Papas, the only one I've ever used in 20 odd yrs
