Television series that were cancelled too soon

Jump to newest

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Recently Atlantis and Forever have joined my list of quite a few.

Last Resort is on the list, as are Firefly, Dollhouse, Believe and Moonlight.

I'd have loved more of The Finder, although I understand why it was cancelled.

Definitely agree with Firefly.

Stargate Universe was cut short and possibly even Heroes.

Justified was very enjoyable, so shame that's over.

Only two show's I've ever been happy with the endings (although I miss them both), Breaking Bad and Sons of Anarchy.

Farscape I have that on my laptop so many thing i am forgetting to mention.

Ben browder was the perfect man. He was hot, had a huge bubble butt and had a huge package.

Farscape was one of the tv shows not made in America but has good special effects and original storyline.

It was nice seeing him and Claudia black in stargate

It easier to see we have sci fi fans here, we need our own comic con

I find a lot of BBC shows have a short number of episodes.

Each series of Allo Allo only had about 8-10 episodes I think and the Vicar of Dibley was even less. I don't know why they don't make more when the show is popular.

Buffy was cancelled by fox the recommissioned for a separate channel, until that too was pulled. Joss whedon still writes buffy now and its released in graphic novel form, they're now on 'series'10. Firefly was pulled because the execs 'couldn't see where it was going' and thought it was too confused, the final episodes weren't even transmitted. However serenity rounds it off nicely and gave joss his break into films

Some of the series ran to conclusion simply because they were cancelled before the final season was created and so were able to round off the story arcs. This was the case with battlestar, dexter, and many notable others

Angel was another one of note but I can understand that as after they got wolfram and heart it went downhill.

I liked the ending of Dexter I thought the ending was intentional as the only other ways to finish it were with his death or arrest.

These discussions always tear me in half. I loved London's burning, Boon and Minder. It's best work of that era imo. But I can see why they struggled towards the end. In the modern era I loved The Office, Gavin and Stacy, Life on Mars and Ashes to Ashes. I'd love to see more, but wouldn't want them to go the way of the aforementioned shows
