We were going to go to Lidl to get some ribs ( I like the Lidl ones) but now feel I would get null points for effort.

SW London

Just messaged Mr with the options for this evening so it will be on the table when he gets home and before we start decorating (as we ate at 11 thirty last night which was crazy) - coconut rice is on, mini tomatoes, oven baked, then its over to him for the choice ....

Tonight I'm making meatball lasagne with the leftover meatballs from yesterday, with salad and garlic bread if I can be bothered to make any.

When they first came here they seemed to sell mostly German stuff and a picture on the packet or tin wasn't much of a clue of what was enclosed,it's better now.

I'm a bit of a snob and feel a bit of mixing with the hoi polloi but it's Harrods compared with the clientele frequenting Mcdonalds.

We tried an Aldi the other day, I've seen better store layouts in jumble sales.

Well, I foodgasmed from reading what you're having. I had steak from Aldi and the 59p harvest basket chips from lidl. No marks for effort

Tonights meal will be a chicken salad (reminds me, need to marinate the chicken).

For lunch I had a fried steak and onion baguette with Masadam cheese and my own formula rub, was nice even if I do say so myself

Cheers,

Neil

The kids had this bright idea to have fray bentos pies steak and ale but after numerous attempts with a tin opener (various ones) a hacksaw and tin snips I've given up and sent one off sulking to the chippy x

Chippy. I've eaten poorly over the past few days so really fancy a home cooked meal, but the kitchen is being retiled so it's out of action for a couple of days.

Think I'm gonna delve into ma freezer and dig out something I've made maself previously. Lasagne is looking favourite at the moment, will do some garlic & herb wedges to accompany it and tart it up with a bit of salad (which I've yet to fetch, and might involve a pint on the way back )and some garlic bread

Don't think I'll be eating anytime soon

Had rabbit casserole tonight. Was slow cooked and was really scrummy. New potatoes and cabbage. Everything grown in the veggie patch and the rabbit freshly shot on the machair. All washed down with a bottle of red.
