have you ever had a "what the fuck moment" last night at work I walked in to our break room to find a work colleague having a mental breakdown at the television because he cod not get it to turn on, he was hitting it and shouting at it, he in the end chucked the remote across the room and was then ranting at everything, he has a university engineering degree he doesn't stop talking and could not see the plug had been taken out. Where has common sense gone

Sounds like he either needs medication or is using too much.

Hope he does not operate machinery where you work...

There are many stupid people to be found if you look really hard.

His issue isn't a lack of common sense it's anger management and impulse control. Report him.

It swings both ways!

Speaking as somebody married to a

Lecturer and knowing alot of her work colleagues well... Yeah I can see the common sense thing but

They also can't believe that you lot don't know the periodic table of by heart or that anybody could possibly struggle with transposition algebra!!.

Speaking as one of the common sense brigade it often makes me chuckle that they have no idea how to grow potatoes but they can quote you chapter and verse of the agricultural revolution history

No it's not that extreme, it is quite often comical and he is not the only one, it's just that if it was me I would check the plug, I would look at the batteries in the remote, sure we all get mad from time to time but none of that came to him

It reminded me of my sister, growing up she would get angry with the people on the telly, shout at them if they did something wrong or didn't see something that was happening behind them, I never understood why she thought shouting at the telly could make a difference lol

I don't see growing a potato as any more common sense than knowing agricultural revolution - it's knowledge in different areas. The common sense bit is about applying it in the relevant context to achieve the desired outcome.

I shout at the telly during Question Time and, this week, Dragon's Den.

I regularly lose it with the Iron. Have broken several I find it soothing but ultimately pointless when I have to go out in creased clothes

.

A friend of ours,a very clever chap, spent quite a few weeks setting up his garden for home growing, he used the front left side of his garden because it was closer to his shed!

It's nearly always in the shade!

we had a senior engineering manager ask why we did not use a magnet to get all the copper wire clippings out of the machines

he wasn't impressed when i told him , if i had a magnet that could pick up copper the factory could not afford my wages

I did get a sense of this thread title going through my head a lot, about me. I seriously do wonder about myself sometimes.
