edinburgh

Be very careful in Cyprus, dont buy unless they have title deeds in hand, and even then get them checked as some are fake.

If your buying on the north side of farmagusta - you can encounter even more problems as he house you are buying may actually belong to cypriot on the other side of the island and taken in the 1974 invasion, so if the eu ever sorts that problem out, you could have a angry cypriot at your door tellng you to beat it.

unless it is a new development then as long as you have the deeds in hand, then ok.

like anywhere else - buying house is massive decision, advise rent first to see what area not only you like, but you can settle in as once you have bought - your stuck and too late if you find out your neighbors an ass lol

but cyprus in lovely and would not change for all the rain in edinburgh if you paid me x

Titz Towers, North Notts

I've heard it is a potential mine field.

on the road to nowhere in particular

Why on earth would you want to buy somewhere you have never seen? Rent a place for six months and see how you get on before committing.

Central

Ensure you have air conditioning and can afford to run it, as summer heat is intensely high - over 100 is common, 36C etc.

Consider looking for an expats forum, and visit and speak to those living there. My mum has lived there but now just spends a few months a year there. You can always get a winter all inclusive break for fairly good value, to check it out.

Many resorts are almost closed down in winter, so don't just rely on how summer seems. Makes shopping harder etc.
