I had an accident in my teenage years which involved me smashing 9 teeth. Needless to say the years have now ravaged what was left of those poor teeth and the various dental surgery solutions that have been used.

I do feel for people who have lost their teeth through accidents (someone very close to me lost their two front teeth in a playground accident). It's never ending.

Keeping them clean and the rest in as good a shape as possible is still preferred to those who let them all go to pot.

A rigorous cleaning regime has meant I've only lost two so far that finally disintegrated and you wouldn't really know unless I walked round with my mouth wide open. Eventually I'll get dental implants when I think it's worth spending £2500 per tooth

Get yourself on a reality makeover programme - they always do the teeth first.

Root fillings and bridges are only meant to last 10 years. But mine have lasted 25 from the time they had to be done, when the normal fillings/reconstructions used at the time of the accident were no longer viable.

It's a good subject, not seen it really on here before, so I don't care what the OP was.

near cardiff

I have a chipped dead tooth.i ran into a scaffold when I was 15!man oh man did it hurt.

Anyway at the time I was offered an implant courtesy of the NHS but I'd just had my braces off,and it meant having the tooth out,and a rod drilled into my jaw which took six months to heal before putting the tooth on...i declined the offer.wish I hadn't now!vanity then, and vanity now.

I don't care neither. Yeah it's always about the rude bits on here usually.
