What do we believe is essentially the largest age group that rules the roost on this site in general?

Whilst the forums represent only a small vocal minority of the site, it does appear to me that forty somethings are the most common swinging age group?

I agree.

This goes for both fab and swingers clubs. I recently went to a club with Marc and another couple of our age and was told by a couple coming into the club that they go to swingers clubs so they doesn't have to go to regular clubs and be around people our age. I felt very welcome after that

When I was young I couldn't have done this as I had 3 kids to look after, I am now 40 and my kids are grown up, my eldest two are 22 and 21 and I have a 14 year old, though my 14 year old still isnt old enough to be 100% independent she's getting there plus I have two daughters in their 20 when I go out who are there for her

I just have more time now to do things I never had when they were children

Yep, its all to do with the acquiring the guilt free ability to say it's my time now. Impossible to have done it before now.

I'm in my 50s and you are much larger lengthways but I am widthways.

OP, I think it's really hard to segment as there are lot of young men on the site (based on the messages I used to get). Whether that converts to people who meet and are active is a different matter.

For couples I think they have to secure in their relationship before doing this and that probably takes a bit of maturity in them and their relationship.

As others have said, reaching a point when you can be a bit selfish as you don't need to be constantly looking after children will also mean people are older.

I do wonder why younger people aren't out and about meeting up in real places as opposed to virtual ones like this though.

Just as the forum is only a small representation of the site userbase, the same can be said for younger people who use the site. For every hundred that are on here, there are a thousand more out trying to meet people in person.

I think lickety has it spot on. life before kids, so for me pre 30s, I was enjoying my social life far too much to have even thought about meeting strangers for sex....then kids came along.....now they are older we can start thinking about our sex life again, plus we have now been together over 20 years and have become really strong as a couple.

The forums generally seem to attract late 30's ~ early 50's age bracket., maybe thats the age when we all become opinionated
