"The levellers in Manchester (I think) fantastic atmosphere and they put on a great show. Not a big venue and it was pretty chilled out compared to other gigs I've attended but in a feel good happy way. " Just checked the ticket I was way off, it was 02 academy, Sheffield, may 2011

"In my teens I was in a band and every gig we ever played was at that time the very best of times..... " Me too. Although I carried mine on into my twenties and my thirties. I have been to so many other gigs as well I'd be hard pressed to name a favourite. Sheer sonic fury would have to be My Bloody Valentine but the first time I saw Mogwai was pretty special and one of those magic gig moments.

"Aerosmith in Las Vegas was pretty amazing. Was due to see the Foo Fighters at Wembley until Dave fell off the stage & can't make the Milton Keynes dates " The big puff..... he needs to man up, why does he need legs to play the guitar anyway? I've seen a load of great shows, and couldn't single out just one. Although really rocked Bonjovi a few years ago at Hull. Cal

"I would say UFO and AC/DC created the best atmospheres I've encountered at gigs...... Particularly in the standing area of the Mayfair ballroom Newcastle..... " I saw UFO there. I think it was the Mechanix tour? Brilliant gig.

"At the time I didn't like them but was dragged by a mate to See Nirvana at The Hummingbird in Brum. I think it was in 90 possibly 91. I didn't really appreciate them until then. " I waq at that but sadly don't remember much about it There's a film of the whole gig on you tube - they only played for 45 minutes!

Wasn't the best gig by a long shot but I kind of like knowing I saw them.

"whats the the best concert you have been to could be an arena gig or a small intimate gig........mine has to be sugar ray at Bradford rios in the min 90s only about 100 people there but was fantastic" I think it would either be Run Dmc in 1986 or Prince in 1993

" I'm the same, I don't remember it being anything special, I remember seeing Jane's Addiction around tge same time and they were incredible, similarly The Pixies. I still think Nirvana benefited because those bands split and they were right place at the right time

"Led Zeppelin Earl's Court 1975. Legend. Mind you Floyd DSOTM the same year was good, and then there was Genesis the Lamb that year, oh and Yes, but the Thin Lizzy for 50p is hard to beat....and the Stones weren't bad...oh and Ziggy Stardust....Oh but Kenny Wayne Shepherd a couple of months ago was a BALL! " Dead jealous of Led Zep and Pink Floyd, you lucky thing

Apparently the slide show and lighting that was supposed to be in sync with the music and help to illustrate the story, rarely worked properly. You must have been one of the fortunate ones! Ive got bootleg footage from some lamb performances. Really hope that they can all get together for another lamb tour. With todays technology, we would get a perfect show and a glimpse into Gabriel's weird world. If Floyd could do it for live8, then I'm sure genesis could.

"Prince, last year in Candem. £10 to get in. Amazing! !" That was part of his hit & run tour part 1, I only managed to see his hit & run part II in Birmingham...fantastic performer, still had it at 55 but completely ruined by his 'staff' aiming high-powered torches into the crowd to stop fans with cameras taking photos & being threatened with ejection from the gig. Shame ??

"U2 The ZOOTV tour Birmingham NEC 1992. The whole lighting rig was made up from these Trabant cars. And along with the tv and video screens dotted around the stage the show was visually stunning." That set sound's very familiar! On the very last leg of that same U2 world tour, in an old volcano crater down under. Never seen anything better before or after, - absolutely awesome!!

"I've been to very few live music events. Sadly, I can't because selfish wankers smoke even when they're in non-smoking venues. I bought tickets for U2 as a present for my then bf once and the entire event was ruined for us by people smoking around us and refusing to put them out when I asked. The woman sitting behind me was heavily pregnant too. I saw INXS when Michael Hutchence was still with them. They were great. U2 would have been good but for the smokers. I've seen Madonna live twice and was underwhelmed. Her shows were a rip off." i seen inxs in australia in 1988 in perth
