I've just stood outside for half an hour and just gazed up at the heavens looking at the stars.

The first time this year, what a wonderful sight, a bit cloudy but nether the less its good to see.

Just thought id share it.

Will always remember stargazing near the summit of Kilimanjaro on the coldest but clearest night imaginable. And to slowly see the sun appear. Breathtakingly beautiful.

My most memorable experience of star gazing was about seven years ago. Was on a small boat cruise sailing from la reunion to Madagascar in the Indian ocean and for about three hours there were clusters of shooting stars.

Some people never see a shooting star, let alone clusters

I remember the golden Saturday of the Olympics whend we won all the medals

I was laying in the garden of a friend's house and was a bit tipsy as it had been a fantastic day and night

He was trying to point out constellations and a shooting star went whoosh across the sky,was a pretty awesome moment

I'd never seen a shooting star until we moved out of London

My most memorable night of star gazing was about 12 years ago watching the Leonids. It was freezing cold so I climbed onto the roof of the caravan and sat lay next to the chimney with my cat! Stayed there for at least an hour, must have seen a hundred "shooting stars". When I finally came down and went inside I looked in the mirror and my face was black from the soot! Lol!

Have an awesome picture of Jupiter taken on my phone earlier in the year skys pretty clear up here all the time and Jupiter was at its closest to the earth felt very small and insignificant compared to what's happening in our vast universe
