On other sites you can have a forum 'ignore' button that filters out unwanted pricks from your viewing pleasure.

Messer verification which they can't decide whether to show or hide block button is fine but you've normally been mugged off before using it

My common sense filter and anti-gullibility medication (tap water) have always worked very well.
