So.... who's ever done something funny/entertaining/brilliant in the spur if the moment, just for nobody to notice. My example:

Recently, I was providing sound, lights and disco for a "Talent" contest. After the second act, one if the organisers noticed that the stage carpet was looking a bit rough and the next act up was a kiddies dance troupe. As soon as it twigged with me that she had taken to the stage with a hover, I quickly stuck "Queen's -I Want to Break Free" on the disco and pointed a spotlight at the cleaning in progress..... not one single person in the 200 person audience even noticed. I couldn't believe that my momentary flash of comic genius passed without recognition.

So what's your moment of un-recognised glory?

Cal

Hard to believe but I used to run the pta. No I'm really not one of those mumsy types either! Lol.

After an indoor evening event, we'd used a gazebo. I started helping to dismantle said gazebo with the headmaster. It was a nice gazebo, so I asked who's it was. The head master piped up that it was his. To which I shouted out, "check me out, I'm holding the heads nuts!". He blushed along with everyone else who was still there. Made me chuckle though. Needless to say I was never allowed to be the bingo caller on bingo night?!

West Midlands

I changed jobs in 2005 and moved into big open plan office with about 25 people. USed to take it in turns to do an enormous tea/coffee round and whoever was making would ask around the room and get "yes, a tea/coffee" multiple times. Came to me and I amusingly said "I AM SPARTACUS" cos of the repetitive nature of the responses....not a clue, got asked what I was on about , tumble moment . old K about that when first met her and she laughed straightaway
