I didn't see the harm in posting it here as it was just to make people smile and the person it's about knows I won't be looking for a couples profile or any commitment as neither of us are looking for that.

Just thought it was a bit of a light hearted fun sorry if I offended anyone

Just find it hypocritical how single men looking for profile advice get slated for so called "look at me" threads but these type aren't.

I just don't see the point in them. Sorry.

I suppose hun there are soooo many threads from men asking for advice that people think they could look there first before posting, hence the look at me reference.

Tbh I think the majority of posts have look at me connotations. Single men are not the main offenders for want of a better word.

Why not?

Who says you can't have a gratuitous display of public affection? Sometimes it's just nice to be nice. It does no harm at all and I think we're all a bit too cynical sometimes. There doesn't have to be a hidden agenda, sometimes people just make you happy and you want to share that. There's really nothing wrong with that is there?

If you can't say something nice, don't say nothing at all.

Good saying, shame it's never used when people, mainly single men, look for profile advice

Honestly, I think it's the great the OP is happy & has found someone who makes him happy.

I just wish he had kept our relationship private."

well surely you could of told him in private you didn't like it then be so horrid when someone is being nice about you

"I didn't see how it could provoke negative comments. Just thought it was a chuckle really.

Apologies anyway.

Don't apologise! Its refreshing to see a positive (if a bit gooey) post!

Really pleased for you and long may your fun, feelings and frolics continue

This!

Back in the day there was all sorts of mushy posts. Knock yourself out but never apologise for giving a compliment.

But why give a compliment to a single person on an open forum? Just smacks of a "look at how loved up I am post"

OK, I'm a cynical bitch, I know

So tell the person involved how happy they make you. They're the only one who matters, surely?

Just reminds me of Tom Cruise on Oprah Winfrey over Katie Holmes. Very cringey.

You know that you can just not reply when something makes you cringe though right?

Think Thumper.

I can't remember what Thumper said

"I didn't see the harm in posting it here as it was just to make people smile and the person it's about knows I won't be looking for a couples profile or any commitment as neither of us are looking for that.

Just thought it was a bit of a light hearted fun sorry if I offended anyone

dont apologise. You started a thread that obviously ruffled some feathers. I think it is a refreshing change to see a post like that.

You go for it. It made me smile

"

I agree with other posters who find this all a bit vomit inducing.

I can't see why the OP can't just message the woman all cutesy lovey doveyness. The cynic in me makes me feel it's done in order to increase chances of meeting.

But the worst thing about it is the indiscretion. OK people aren't named but you wouldn't have to be inspector more to figure it out eventually.
