I'm a complete glutton for summer fruits but while most of it is juicy and soft my nectarines have to be hard and crisp.

How fruity are you?

Mango. Pineapple

But also enjoy a nice crisp pink lady

East Sussex

I love nectarines and peaches but they need to be perfectly ripe. Same goes for honeydew melon (love it with Serrano ham) and strawberries although sadly I can only eat one or two .

Tomatoes are my absolute favourite though, sprinkled with salt and a couple of basil leaves.

I love those too, along with a guava and a papaya and anything else I can get hold of but they are more easily available year round now. British raspberries and strawberries have a limited life.

The tomatoes this year have been exceptionally sweet. I might have to get some mozzarella and avocado to have with tomatoes tomorrow.

I've recently started eating fruit. I've always had a problem with texture of food, not the taste.

But I adore British strawberries and raspberries, I love them anyway, but the British ones, just have an extra 'yummyness' about them.

And I can sit and eat Watermelon all day long. One of the few things I can taste the difference between organic and non organic.

Incidentally my parrot adores pomegranate, but only in their limited season October to November, won't eat them at any other time.

Mmmmm There is something fabulous....something almost sexual about a perfectly ripe peach or pear....the aroma....the sheer succulence....taste .....the sucking and licking the juices....the running dripping juices......its hedonistic ...tantalising eating....Im feeling quite hungry right now
