I'll take the hills and woodlands, living in an AONB

Golden sands just down the road and cities within half an hour.

I've got the best of all worlds

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I live in a village 30 mins walk from a relatively small city. Its a good compromise.

Think I'd love to live in the country though

Edinburgh

I live in a city beside the coast and near the countryside.

If I had the money I'd live in the middle of a field with no neighbours though.

Cue the Air on a G string tune.

I quite like a Hamlet.

In Yorkshire of course.

The city (in my case London is the only city it's worth living in), the countryside, the coast and the UK (the Country).

Used to live by the seaside now live in a town and I prefer the country side. Luckily I have Matlock close by and still visit the east coast regularly so it makes town life nearly bearable.

Country, doesn't have the pressure cooker effect of lack of personal space, well in my experience.

Sheffield

I'm in a little village tacked onto the edge of a big city. Five minutes drive in one direction and I'm in a national park, five minutes in the other direction and I'm in the city centre - best of both!

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I liked where I lived in Hampshire before I moved to Norfolk.

In the country but close to a decent city and several large towns, less than an hour into London, between the M3 and M4 and not too far away from the coast either.

Norfolk has benefits but also a lot of drawbacks. I'm sad I had to leave Hampshire.

The Town by The Cross

The countryside is misjudged by romantics and tourists.

It's a hard place to live in the winter.

I live in a TOWN. I have facilities, the coast, rural areas and a city all within a few minutes walk or drive.

Amen to townies.

I hate city living but love visiting. I was brought up in London and have spent a good few years in Glasgow and Dundee.

Most of the time I have lived in the country and am only in Dundee because of my partner.

Next year we will be back in the country with no neighbours in visual sight. Reasons, self sufficient, meet people on your own terms, do what we like without scrutiny, quieter and safer.

Same here, 20 minutes to the Peaks though, wouldn`t move from here.
