"My allegedly adorable Staffie keeps eating parts of my memory foam bed topper ! He even opens the door to get in there ! the other week I left a box on purpose on my bed (pre emptive ) So he just had a go at the other end !! I'm gonna end up with a memory foam dog I'm sure of it " Yeah the husky can also open doors which is handy as he lets himself out in the garden( not round handles though he's not that clever he can't grip them with his paws ) x

"Can you not have the dog in a crate overnight? I have 3 dogs and they are all crate trained for nights and when we are not at home. " Sadly he's not just a night time snacker .....when he gets that urge nothing's safe x

"We have dogs like yours. Nothing is safe. One vomited up a Tampax he had taken from a bag. They chew skirting, shoes, knickers, hair brushes, toys, bottle lids,my laptop box, coal from the fire, stuffed toys-they start with the eyes and nose then pull the stuffing out of the head. They are bin rats too, eating egg shells, cup cake wrappers and anything remotely smelling of food. They lick people all the time, probably seeing if they are worth chewing on. Wooden Jenga blocks are a favourite. They stopped chewing through electrical flex, probably got a shock. Used tissues are stolen and ripped up,it used to be the whole toilet roll stolen from the bathroom. I could go on " Yeah he loves toilet rolls and tissues especially the ones from sons bedroom bin....

"Where to start? My springer has eaten half a sofa, 2 dining chairs various skirting boards, a duvet, 2 raised flower beds, umpteen game/dvd cases and the usual shoes, socks etc Oh and my brothers car documents.... Thankfully he's grown out of that now " My alsation/lab cross had our sofa too. I thought we had been broken into as it was on the other side of the room then this head popped up and I noticed all the foam and bits of material all over the floor. He then went onto rolls of new wallpaper, dining room chairs, tv, back door, window frames, anything that was lying about but again grew out of it

"the joys of owning a husky part 377....casually padded down stairs for a pee to find the special needs husky we have has eaten a 6 inch strip of skirting board ..so far he has chewed sky remotes,Various shoes ( all the odd ones were packed I up and sent to the heather mills trust ) and his most expensive thing to date a ninetendo ds....anyone else have this problem it's not that he does not get walked or get attention ... Oh he can also jump a 6ft fence but prefers to escape through the conifer hedge it's more of a challenge ... Any advice welcomed x" yep, sounds just right for a husky highly hypo and need a huge amount of exercise, definitely an outside dog which needs a large run and large kennels to sit on top off. Huskies; same as Malamutes need a companion, mal & male get on, female & male get on, but female & female will fight to the death. further than a high fence, the fence also requires to go a few feet under ground as Huskies & Malamutes are expert tunnelling machines Ive had malamutes for years, huskies are just too hypo for me, amazing dogs though, but not for the house proud
