I watched the program yesterday and did you to? It was interesting, this is my take on it:

The whole thing could of been avoided cos there was tweets on twitter months before it happened to warn them about the plot, so did the tunisias government ignore the threat but knew more about it but didn't react to it cos tunisa live of tourism?

And should they have informed the holiday makers that a potential threat was against the resort?

Whats your _iew onit?

to be fair, often dammed if you do, dammed if you don't.

even after the event, people were pissed off at having to come home, yet if something else happened they would expect to be rescued and others to put their lives at risk to save them.

I didn't watch the program, so can't comment on that.

I will say I feel deeply sorry for all those involved.

I feel so sorry for the Tunisia workers who rely on a wage from us tourists.

Last but not least a big thankyou to the Tunisia people for doing all they could to try and stop what happened.

Your right there we cannot let terrorism win but that said its our responsibility not to put us in harms way like going to hotspots where attacks have happened before. These people have no moral compass so we need to be extra careful not to feed their greed

Have you ever been to Tunisia? Ok it may not be the most developed country but the hotels I stayed in weren't cheap, the staff were brilliant and the locals friendly! I hope to return one day

I didn't see the program but it is easy to look at any event in isolation and with the being it if hindsight. There is "talk" on twitter and other websites threatening attacks on all sorts of targets all of the time. Even the best resourced countries can not hope to fully prevent all attempted, mindless atrocities, from slipping through the net.

We are booked for Jan 3rd and will defiantly go back if the flights stay scheduled.the people in Tunisia are lovely from what we have seen and I will show my support by returning on the said date

it could happen anywhere in the world . The families of the people murdered im sure are very grateful to the Tunisian people who tried to help where they could . What an insensitive comment to make . Terrorism can happen ANYWHERE !!!

We cannot go with that theory. Just because you've paid for an expensive resort does not give you immunity against the threat of terrorism.

Holidays would become terribly boring if we all had to vacation in fenced off, armed security complexes.

How strange this was Tunisia and one lone gunman wrecked havoc, cast your mind back to London where 3 or 4 terrorists managed to set off Bombs simultaneously, so pray tell where this wonderful holiday resort may be where terrorism will never reach?

Im out there at the sametime both and agree with what you say, my 7th visit to the area... looking forward to it again..perhaps get together for some laughs and fun, I will be in sousse..
