Core excersizes, Google them.

You have to tone with exercise when dieting to avoid loosely skin.

Northern DNA hangs on to belly and thigh fat (for those hard winters) Something in your diet is laying that far down. Work out what it is and stop eating it (had a similar problem)

Sounds like you're doing well. Just keep doing what you're doing. I think you have to change your whole mindset about eating an exercising instead of just seeing it as a diet that you can forget about when you reach your desired weight.

Great job!!

Your body becomes use to not eating lunch... A seen a history programme about ww2 and the Americans were trapped on an island over 400 men and for 2 years they had to eat am and pm onlycas supplies were rashioned and they actually became helthier so I looked into it further and ww2 food plans due to rationing as UK population become more healthy and leaner due to rationing... My diet is based around this

Okay. I'm serious now.

I don know calorie restriction can be healthier.

People in WW2 ate a diet of rationed food that led to a slimmer population.

Slim is not always healthy.

Eating few calories leads to muscle loss and fatigue.

Do you take vitamins too ?

If so I take vitamin d and calcium, a to z vitamins. All my blood tests are perfect, diabitis gone, high cholesterol gone, arthritis only plays up when it's damp.

I'm never going to be slim, my target weight will still put me 10lb over the ideal weight. Your body gets used to it.

Congratulations.

Is it an emotional/esteem issue? I ask, as you use the words 'feel fat'.

Sustained weight loss is usually most successful if its done via diet as well as exercise, compared to only one of them.

High intensity interval training is fantastic for increasing your basal metabolic rate for the majority of the day after you exercise - not just whilst exercise.

In other words, you could be slouching afterwards in a chair for hours, but your body will still be burning up calories at a high rate, because you did this type of exercise earlier. It's a fantastic way to be consuming calories for most of that day. The science is there and researched. As you're eating less than you need, your body will start to shed more of your fat during this time. You will melt away.

Otherwise, we have control over our own perceptions of ourselves. We may as well make this as positive and supportive as we can. If we could do with some higher confidence or self esteem levels, to help keep us emotionally buoyant, then add some focus onto this. Stick around people who are good for you and avoid who and what may pull you down.

Give yourself credit for the massive achievement that you've made!

monitored every three months, full blood tests but I don't have the blood tests because I'm dieting but they show up all the plus benefits of losing weight as for energy levels its hard to say being bipolar but I'm naturally far more active.

Keep up the dieting, the majority of what you've already lost was water and some fat, but it can take a long time to burn all the fat

"I've been dieting and exercising for 3 months now Ave lost 2stone yet still feel tubby any advice??"

The difficulty with losing weight is your baseline moves down the more you lose, or put very simply the less you weigh, the less you need. This is because your metabolic rate drops as you lose the excess!

Its a bit like a car- if you start off as a jeep you need the fuel of a 2.8l engine. You become a Ford Focus you only need a 1.4l engine

OP well done on your loss so far, but just tweaking a little bit might make a big difference.

Have a look at WHEN you eat- maybe google intermittent fasting? (I don't mean the 5:2 diet) x

I have been housebound for 9 weeks now,and when this started decided to have no biscuits, sweets or alcohol and no red meat as did not need to put on any weight while inactive.

Except thats rubbish. Low fat stuff is full of sugar, refined sugar at that and it's this sugar,if left unused, that turns into fat in the body.
