Is it so wrong to have an opinion on something. Just because your opinion is different to someone else's does not make you any of the above, however reading a some contentious threads this how people get branded...

Me for now will just watch and read from afar. A shame really as I do love a good debate, but I did not want people who have never met me assuming that i am something I am not purely from an opinion I have written in a thread.

So I stay out if it because I can't be bothered

You also get folk replying and agreeing with everything certain folk say, just to try and be popular.

I totally used to avoid posting for a variety of reasons , some of the above included .

Some months ago I threw caution to the wind and thought sod it , and began to post .

It's been an interesting journey , and although I tend to be very much in the minority on most subjects , I continue to have fun .

Just stay calm ,don't take the bait , walk away before replying to posts which annoy you and you'll be fine

Not normally.

I try to be consistent with my views and am prepared to defend them when people mis-understand what is written.

However there are some threads where you can see that there is absolutely no point in getting involved for good or for bad reasons.

There are a number of threads I don't post in not because I'm worried that people label me, but because I think it's just not worth the bother of ending up in arguments on a site that I use primarily for fun reasons.

If I want heated debate I'll go on to appropriate forums to do so, I see Fab as a means to hopefully meet some good people, not (deliberately) alienate them (although I'm sure I unintentionally alienate lots on here)

The only threads is never post in are the kiss/pass/fuck and face pic Friday ones - or the ones where it's obvious the OP is just looking for wank fodder like the "what's your kinkiest meet" or "where's the naughtiest place" crap.

If i have an opinion on anything else and feel like posting I will.

And I'd give the same answer regardless of who the OP is or what anyone else has posted.

I post when I want on what I want, about what I think at that time. No idea if I'm consistent- probably not. I don't care what opinion strangers on the internet have about me.

I think it's sad that some people are scared what strangers think about them. It's obvious who posts crap in the hope it keeps them in with the 'in crowd'/ might get them a fuck. If that makes them happy though... cool.

I don't really post in the games threads. If I have an opinion and feel the urge to throw in my tuppence worth then I will.

I know I'm not racist/homophobic/sexist/etc. so I have no worries on that score.

I know next to nothing about politics so I only add something if I do know. Politicians are mostly corrupt, lying bastards and the country is in the state it's in because of them.

I'm a non-believer when it comes to religion and I do try hard not to be offensive but I firmly believe that the majority of conflict in the world is as a direct result of religious beliefs which I have trouble comprehending most of the time.

I'm uninterested in following the crowd or posting what people want to hear and if I'm cheeky then it's cause I'm being funny rather than mean although there are times when I can't help sarcasm... it's usually deserved.

However, I am also a great believer in saying nothing if I have nothing nice to say. This could be picked up and implemented by many. If you don't know what you're talking about, wise to keep quiet.

It's only an internet forum. It hardly matters what you post, people are going to make assumptions about you anyway. I enjoy a good debate and don't mind using the forums to do so. I have strong opinions on certain topics and if those opinions cause offence, although it's never my intention, then so be it.

Have fun, be yourself and post away.

I post in whatever threads capture my interests and I have no insecurities about giving my opinions or compulsion to defend them.

I'm more than happy to have my views challenged and I enjoy the views and opinions of other posters.

I often find myself amused when I see anyone taking their own opinions seriously on subjects that allow for a wide range of ideas....

It's just Forums ,..... it's not life and death...

You're welcome

I couldnt care less what strangers think of me to be honest. If i have an opinion i try and share it without being forceful with it.

Everyones views cone from the different angles they approach it from. Those angles are entirely personal to their own values, beliefs and experiences. So they rarely annoy me even when i disagree.

Grammar police can jog on though

I post selectively as often others say something almost the same thoughts, but really eloquently. Otherwise I don't intend to offend but would gladly get the feedback.

Sometimes it's like a drive by shooting, where some drop in, shoot their criticism and they're off. Best to ignore troll like behaviour.

And question oneself, in case hidden prejudices lurk, outside of awareness too.

It's my opinion and I'm not afraid to use it!

I do find it entertaining that some forumites feel the need to block you as soon as you have a different opinion. But horses for courses and they're not people I'd touch with a shit stick so it's all good in the clit hood!

Nope. I say what I think. If people don't like it that's their right. I think I'm always nice or at least I try to be so hopefully I don't offend.

The time to not have an opinion is after 'they' bring in compulsory lobotomies.

It only becomes a problem when 'someone' out their feels attacked but that is because of their inadequacies not yours.

Don't let it get to you 'they' are in the minority.

There are quite a lot here who CAN offer alternative views to yours without being personal.

Oh and like others. I mostly stay OFF the kiss me fuck me aren't I gorgeous threads too but that's not to say that there isn't room for that sort of thread.
