Netflix seemed the favourites. Gets around the clause in their contracts stopping them making car shows too

This is a three year deal, they were never going to ITV because of the handcuffs clause.

Amazon Prime is a graveyard compared to the exposure Top Gear had. Clarkson doesn't care about success as he is stinking rich, his agenda is about sticking it to the BBC. The other two are desperate to ride his coat tails and will be the Aldrin and Collins to his Armstrong.

Amazon are just buying controversy to get publicity, with the imminent launch of the BBC player with all the Top Gear archive available on demand, and the opportunity this will provide to cross promote to the new show, its a dead end play.
