Why bait the grumpyarse?

I opened the conversation by saying that I slept badly and am not in the best of moods but still got the cheery, persistent attempt to make conversation.

Are you bright and bouncy in the morning? If so why pester those of us who aren't?

Some of use are rubbing their aches and sipping tea quietly and you have to jump in and be bright and pleasant and expect niceties. Well no. Shush I say.

I wasn't being bright and pleasant!

I was scowling at the world and slumping around and thought I'd best get the grumpyarse warning out there and someone tries to talk to me!

And expected replies!!! Polite ones

I love mornings , I just wish they came later in the day!

I've improved with age - but I'm not a morning person. I just like to be left to my own devices. By 10am I'm ok company.
