How often do you do it , do you tire of the same wallpaper, paint etc or do you leave it till its desperate and do you DIY or get someone in.

I'm laid here in the boudoir thinking its time for a change...im blaming all this duvet and cushion shopping I need to brighten the room up.

I spent the weekend painting the living room that hadn't been done for 7 Years! If you have the money get someone in. It took me 2 days (although the frequent cybersex breaks did slow things down somewhat....)

I like painting, I find it quite relaxing actually. Just get some beer in, put some cool tunes on and there's no stopping me. Am moving to a new flat in a couple of months and have already started planning ma colour schemes

I think I could have had it done in half the time really, but I was building up to a meet and have zero self discipline.....

My whole house needs doing. Downstairs was last done 7 years ago after building work & my bedroom about 11 years ago

I bought new bedding & accessories but feel it's time for a complete change.

Just so much work though......

My house is the same. I'm giving myself a goal of a room a month or two, to break it down into manageable chunks and to purposefully not think about any other room until that one's done. It's easy to feel daunted at the idea of ALL the work that needs doing as a whole.

I paid a bloke to come and paint my flat. It was the best money I've spent in a long time. He did it in a fraction of the time it would have taken me and he was a bigger perfectionist than I. Happy days. I shall never lift another paintbrush ever again!

I rent.

So my whole flat is magnolia or white

I bring colour and texture in the flat with soft furnishings and odds and sods

Strip walls yourself, tidy and prepare, then get a tradesman in.

I take too long doing it!

I do my own, like the others said, its very satisfying!

I tend to keep the base colour neutral it gives the illusion of more space and then use soft furnishings to brighten things up!

(And I can touch up high traffic areas in-between coats)

They say (who ever they may be) that you should redecorate every 5 yrs.

I better get mine finished before I have to start again.

I generally get someone in, although I did my bedroom recently.

In past relationships , I used to make such a hash of it - they'd take over and finish it all off. Job done!
