I've been bad with food since the school holidays started! My hubby is away with work tonight so me and the kids had pizza and dough balls for dinner. And after reading this I'm thinking about the ice cream in the freezer!

If it's owt like my dog it wouldn't have wasted time counting them.

No just found the packet in the floor was a new one on the kitchen side he'd even managed to open it

The other dog was running behind him licking up the crumbs

Yum, I have bacon in the fridge. Might have to be bacon sandwiches for breakfast! I'm sure I read you knock 30 mins off your life for every bacon sandwich you eat. It's a shame I like them so much!

It could have been worse. I turned down cake... but I have eaten sea salted chocolate caramel buttons instead. I could have had both.

That is very sad and a reminder that the relationships we have with food are very complex.

Under-eating can be just as physically and emotionally damaging as overindulgence. There is no escape from food its all around us all day every day. The widely available selection of convenience foods makes it all to easy to make unhealthy choices but like with everything, moderation is key. It is okay to treat yourself every now and again if you follow a healthy balanced diet.

Some people find it much harder than others to resist temptation. It is a problem and very sad when even maintaining a healthy balanced diet and being able to enjoy food becomes a struggle. Eating is a very social activity too and I have seen first hand how stressful simply going out for a meal can be as a close friend of mine has a severe eating disorder.

We all need to eat to survive and yes food is fuel for our bodies but it really is okay to enjoy your meals and to have snacks ( even if that is three very sensible balanced meals a day and healthy snacks).

Our relationships with food are complex especially for emotional eaters. I hope you can experience the joy of food again one day. Sorry but this really touched a nerve with me.
