No, I think it`s a good film, but I prefer the directors cut, much better ending.

There's a sequel in the pipeline. Harrison Ford will be playing Deckard again. Same writers as the original and Ridley Scott is also involved.

In my ever changing top five films it is the one constant.

Superb soundtrack also.

great movie and the directors cut ending is the one to watch as someone already said! A nice 2-disc version available with a documentary on the making of, well worth a look

No need for a sequel, the film ended perfectly.

I partly agree, it could be left and still be perfect - but. The original left a few unanswered questions, the main one being is Deckard a Nexus6?

Hardly a spoiler, the film has been around since 1982.

Based on the book - do electric sheep dream.

Been talking about this remake for a few years, or is it a sequel- can't remember. Hopefully they leave well alone.

The real character in the film was rutger hauer, with Sean young as the most beautiful female you're ever gonna see. A living cleopatra.

You can't overrate one of the best, if not the best, films ever.

was deckard a replicant? Probs

He is, the Unicorn in the dream was programmed, Ridley Scott said so too.

Love the directors cut version. Roy Batty's speech on tbe rooftop is a classic moment.

That's why Gant leaves the origami unicorn in the hallway when Deckard collects Rachael.

"Is the film overrated in your view?"

I'm a huge sci-fi fan but the film is not really to my taste, massively overrated in my opinion. It's a good film but not great.

Based on

"Do androids dream of electric sheep"

More profound and philosophical linking anthropomorphism to machines.

Ok gonna really piss a few people off.

I (Mr) am a huge Sci fi fan.

There have been many fine Sci fi movies over the year's and some real stinkers.

I have watched blade runner a fee times and can honestly say... It's as boring as fuck!

And I actually enjoy long drawn out film's with intelligent scripts and good acting.

I have tried to like it and frankly find it dull.

Only good part is a young nimble Darryl hanna.

Snarfff

Its art direction and set design have informed virtually all future set films, TV series and video games since. it started mainstream interest in neo-noir and the distopian vision of unrestrained enviromental abuse. Great film if not great entertainment.

Should anyone drive towards Saltburn off the A19 at night in Tees they will see a most amazing view that influenced Ridley Scott. Amazing dystopian thing that is actually quite beautiful...

Central

Incredible film, years ahead of everything else in its genre, for awe inspiring breaking of new ground.

It's the gold standard that other films can be judged by, still today.
