little house on the praire

Do you ever go to them? I've never had any interest in them. However someone has organised a birthday bash for all those from school who are 50 this year, I've been in touch with a few, its amazing how some have changed completely and some look just as they did 35 years ago.

So I'm going to go to this one, will probably never see the people again

I've turned down the last two I've been invited to attend. I really didn't like many of the people I went to school with.

The local ones just seem to be full of people wanting to show off how well they've done. Can't be arsed with all that bollocks.

Do it! I missed one about 6 years ago (only found out about it a year later!) and regret it as I've not seen most since the day I left school! Haven't been any organised since.

If you don't like it you can always leave, but chances are you'll have a brilliant time catching up with all the goss! Just take some of the inevitable bragging about how well they're doing and how successful they are from some with a pinch of salt

I've never been to one yet but I volunteered after an eve out with some friends to organise one as my class year are starting to turn 50 in 2016!!!

Facebook is great for checking out what people look like now but I think it will be fun to meet up in person.

I was a studious, middle of the road kinda girl at school who was put in a few tricky situations with the 'it girls' so I for one am like bring it on.

Petty maybe, but karma has a way of biting one on the arse....

I was the nerdy kid who never had much, a bit of an outsider who due to problems at home was a bit withdrawn, so yeah I went to my last one, just to say that "I did ok, I got myself straight in the end, and I'm quite comfortable" met up with a girl who I used to hang out with just because we were as fucked up as each other, she had flown back from the south of France where she lives and works on her own vineyard.

The losers won I think lol

Glastonbury

Fucking dreadful. Was talked in to going to one a few years back by the only school friend I remain on contact with.

It was awful. Full of people who had forgotten nothing and learned nothing.

I spent the first part of the evening going from clique to clique telling outrageous stories: "Yes, I'm just back from piloting oil tankers round the Med," and, "I design notes for the Bank of England - on that tenner, see that squiggle, I did that," to "Can't talk about it, very hush hush".

Eejits.

Then I bumped into a woman who, last time I saw her had been dressed as Fag Ash Lil at the school disco. She'd had an interesting life, including recovery from mental health issues and an inheritance.

She agreed that it was a waste of time, so we blew it off and she took me out elsewhere.

Very odd evening.
