I remember when I was little ma Dad had stopped in a layby so we could have some snap & a brew, then drove off again with the feet still down

I prefer camping and spent a month touring Europe on motorbikes with a couple of mates in 1987

Absolutely love it and wild camp rather than use sites,

It was a shock to my system when my folks informed me that I was now a member of the caravan club. I was not impressed with that sort of middle aged behaviour at all!!

I love our campervan though so I got over myself!

little house on the praire

Loved our caravaning holidays as kids, highlight of the year. I can still smell the gas from the lights and the 10 minute walk to the toilet and shower block.

As we got older mum bought our own caravan at wells and then when my son was born she bought a brick chalet with a bit of garden at chapel.

Next year I will have my first caravan holiday in years with the kids

I generally don't either but my folks do. I have done though and it's not that cheap so I'm not entirely sure what the benefits are. I didn't pay either so I just hide the membership card at the back of my purse.

We're members and get away 4 or 5 times a year, but yet to have any swinging fun, and a pretty rigorous sound proofing/anti rattle procedure is carried out before we have any fun. Would be good to meet up with some fellow tourers while we are away. Has anyone any experience of the A1 Caravan swingers club?

Used to have a touring van for a few years and loved getting out and about in it for holidays all over the country,we were in the caravan and camping club and had some great holidays at there site in Mablethorpe, but got a bit fed up of the driving you see from other road users that just have to be on front of the caravan,so now have a static in Aberystwyth and just love going there for the hols and weekends

Wolverhampton

We've got a snazzy 2 berth Motorhome that we use for our nefarious pursuits.

We go to clubs and parties in UK and Europe and park up outside. It's great, we can get pissed and go back to the van for a cuppa tea and a comfy kip.

We haven't yet 'christened' our new van, volunteers considered.
