Sorry to start another football thread (actually, no I'm not!) but with the new season around the corner who are your tips for the titles this year?

At the end of the season it'll be worth revisiting to see who was right and who was wrong!

No prizes, unless the winner is a particularly gorgeous lady then she gets 30 minutes in a darkened room with just me and a tub of chocolate sauce

Based on no particular studies of form or anything like that, these are mine

Premier League: Chelsea

Championship: Ipswich

League 1: Wigan

League 2: Pompey

National League: Grimsby

Scottish Premiership: Celtic

Scots Championship: Rangers

Scots L1: Dunfermline

Scots L2: Montrose

Here's my prediction:

Grown men will waste large sums if money on polyester replica strips, beer, and watch every clip on Motd.

Footballers will remain overpaid.

Here occasionally, but mostly somewhere else

"Arsenal. Could not give an opinion about the rest of the league.

Why are supporters of any club required to give a tinker's cuss for any other division? What's your prediction for the Latvian third division?

If only there was a 'handbags' emoticon I think you missed the original in my post depicting humour

(n.b. For what it's worth there isn't a Latvian 3rd Division as such, but in 1. Liga (the 2nd tier of Latvian football) I might put a sneaky tenner on FK 1625 Liepaja)

It will be boring crap like always, bring on the rugby.

Football a game where players spend 90 minutes pretending they are injured

Rugby a game where players spend 80 minutes pretending they arent

I predict that Norwich will lose a few games, the fans will go into meltdown & call for the manager to be sacked

Whether this is at the first game remains to be seen
