What fashion tips would you pass on to someone. .. let's say for the work environment. Mine would be:

A) you can't have too many ties

B) stripes and polka dot don't mix

C) double Windsor knot every time

East Sussex

Never wear pinstriped jacket with plain trousers or skirt and vice versa.

Never mix black and navy.

If you wear black tights and white shoes you wi look like Minnie Mouse.

Edinburgh

1. If you'd wear it to a nightclub, don't wear it to the office.

2. If when you sit down, your knickers are on show, your skirt is too short.

3. Brown shoes are never good with a suit to work.

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Wear what makes you feel good and screw fashion.

Fashion is an industry designed to make money by telling people to buy things they don't need and wouldn't choose if it weren't for them being "fashionable".

Shorts and strappy vest tops are comfortable and sexy. Shoes are shit.

Erm that's good advice right?

In my job casual is acceptable, but for the love of all that is holy do not wear anything that can be construed as 'child friendly' i.e. cartoon characters on your t-shirt or lunch box or pencil case.

Don't wear brown shoes for office work.

Don't put pens in an outside breast pocket.

Waistcoats are NOT due for a comeback.

Central

Be comfortable, it's your cash you're spending and you wear it for a large part of the day. Feel free to be expressing yourself.

Challenge restrictive rules but not so fas as getting fired. Encourage more casual and dress down days and loosening of summer dress rules, from about through to November.

Always have impact, choosing colours that work this.

Thank god I'm a student again with no restrictions.
