It takes at least 3 months for de nitrifying bacteria to start working. A whole water change every month will reduce the effectiveness. | |||

In this case I reckon I wont be too bad when the hamster snuffs it soon. She's coming up to 18 months old and they dont live mch longer than that | |||

What's the point in having a wee furry if you can't get a cuddle? They are very short sighted and any smell of food on your hands can result in a bite. Been bitten many times.
