Ours was announced last week, decided not to go as our Jiu Jitsu club is going out the same night, and they're a far better crowd to drink with.

Went to the company function last year, just awful it was. people drinking far too much cause the boss was paying, then being sick.

I'm limiting the number that I go to this year in an attempt not to be constantly tired, travelling around the Country and skint throughout December and January!

Mind you, I said this last year but wasn't very good at sticking to the plan

Luckily this year, 2 of the nights out I'd normally go on fall on the same night and 2 others fall on a different night. Due to the geographical locations I cannot attend them all so have had to choose which 2 I'd prefer.

Scratch that. What I've really had to decide is which 2 not to go to that will cause the least earache from friends moaning at me to go

Not sure if that even made sense but I know what I mean.

I shall still buy far too many new tops than I actually need

our company wont organise a christmas party cos we always get banned from wherever we go due to stupid people punching glass doors, getting in fights etc

In the same boat as you Kev. Its a lottery though if they will be like watching paint dry or a wild affair. I don't know which will be worse right now.

I usually don't work in December to avoid all the parties as I used to loathe my colleagues, and playing nice and being a hypocrite is not me.

This year I'm in a different department with people I actually like, so will be working up to 17 December and attending lots of parties, plus the solicitors I give work to have invited me to their Christmas bashes.

Quite looking forward to the party season...now if I can only hold my drink!!!

I equally dread and relish Christmas work parties.

Being a sexual predator my usual natural instincts that I keep under control are released with devastating impact on the female office community.

I also tend to break dance and body pop a lot which I really hate myself for
