Now I really believe you've got a female head ! You've fallen for the skinny hype !

Thin is NOT sexy ... Naturally slim yes. Thin no.

To be honest I've spent a long time obsessed with trying to loose weight. Fad diets, gym every day, cutting out everything I liked and the guilt when I failed.

I've come to realise now that there are more important things about me than my dress size. I still hate myself naked but I no longer obsess to try and change it.

And I certainly won't do it because it's thrown in my face that only thin is sexy.

Everyone can be that regardless of size and looks as beauty comes from within

I teach fitness and dance. (Mainly children but qualified to teach adults and qualified in weight management and obesity) the aim here really should be to get fit and healthy. Not to focus on getting slim or skinny. Then looking hot in a tight dress just comes as an added bonus.

If you want to know what weight you should be then go in the nhs website and use the BMI calculator. Personally I would ditch the scales, eat 3-4 good meals a day as you're not eating enough so your body will think its being starved and hold on to everything you eat and take photos to see your progress. And use those photos to remind yourself how fabulous you are!!!

Stop when you're happy with how you look not when others are happy with it as you'll never please everyone.

Aiming to be ripped is a little unrealistic for most of us mere mortals! It generally takes a lot of sacrifice, a lot of food prep and hardly any indulging in some of life's lovely things like dinner out with friends. Unless you're some genetically blessed freak!!!

I'd disagree with. Kate Moss, a perfectly done steak and chips tastes much better than skinny feels!

That's right as its hard as well to get ripped and yeah lots of meal prep and eating takes up all the day, but yeah cutting the carbs usually will help with dieting too but not to low.

Agree with you. Once you like your shape stop. I love my shape but according to the nhs im still over weight and not just by a few pounds. I will not lose anymore as i honesty believe i would look unhealthy. I exercise daily and eat quite healthy. I'm happy within myself and that's the goal people should aim for

Don't bother with the scales. They're gratifying at first when you see the weight dropping off but they're not the be all and end all. If you must, weigh yourself once a month or so. Your mirror is a far better gauge as you gain muscle and lose fat. Stop when you're happy with your reflection. Or happier.

BMI aint worth the paper its written on - from my consultant (and midwife 3 years ago). The only person who HAS to be happy with how you look is YOU. if you are then stuff everyone else, if you arent then its down to you. And thin aint sexy sexy is a state of mind x

I don't agree with bmi charts as being a true reflection of what is a healthy weight sorry. It is well known that it doesn't take into account your body shape/build.

When I was at my recommended bmi, friends told me I looked 'bony' and ill.

I took the advice to 'fatten up a bit' too well unfortunately, and although I am physically fit in terms of how much exercise I take, my diet is really not great!

Op you may have the mind and body of a female but rejoice in knowing that men have less fat cells than women so you really do have the best of both worlds! x

I actually was... It's probably that which enables your body to look as impressive as it does.

I think I'll be visiting the gym tomorrow.. My trouble is trying to work out what to do when I get there!!

6' 2" and 11 stone!!! I'm that and 9 inches shorter! That's way too skinny for a bloke of that height, dresser or not.

The trouble with dieting is that it/they hardly work and/or last.

What you want is a correct and appropriate Diet.
