Can't really comment on you, but I was single and celibate for seven years and it was a great time. Got to spend time and energy on my career and my kids, all paying dividends now .... ten years on. For me it was also a time to get my head straight and realise who I was living my life for and getting my priorities straight. Went into swinging as part of the first relationship after this ... and, although the relationship did not last too long, I really knew what and who I was and was totally comfortable with my sexuality and my choices. Have never looked back ... I would say if you are feeling emotional and volatile, take some time out ....
