I'm both. Just the crude stuff wouldn't do it for me, but mental stimulation without the crude bits is just friendship really. That's my opinion anyway. You need a good mix and balance.

Are we only allowed one answer?

Personally I (andy) am not a simple robot who cannot leap between the two depending on the situation.

Some people are physically very nice to see. Some who are not have other attributes which make them attractive.

Silly threads like this seek to continue to polarise us and them. When the truth is usually more akin to the fact that people naturally change their attitude to suit the occasion. However when posting on forums or interviewed about it, they will give the answer which they think is more socially acceptable in the context.

I'm both. There are times when it's a visual/physical rip the each others clothes off time with not too much thinking going on.

Then there's the slowly turning into erotic moments, where the surroundings and atmosphere with lots of touchy feely and thinking goes on and clothes sometimes come off, lol.

dear drinking, don't be a professional grievance taker. That would polarise you from the thoughtful. If you don't like a thread, start your own !! You don't have to burn everything you don't like. I'd prefer to drink in coastal suffolk but then again pretension is not my forte.

I would suggest your last comment is pure fantasy.

I am not taking any grievance, simply suggesting that replies to this thread show that this is polarising debate as opposed to vignetting reality which is always a shade in between.

Debate and disagreement is not burning things. You speak a lot of overly loquacious rot at times and given that I often do the same and this is a public forum when you put forward such things you must be prepared to have people who disagree with you.

Isn't there a bit of both in all of us? Has to do with mood and situation I guess.

There has to be an emotional / intellectual connection for a relationship and for love making, but also for sex sometimes. But most have circumstances in which the more "crude" or visually basic stimulation works too. There was always this myth than porn was almost exclusively a male pastime, and that women didn't get turned on by such crude visual stimulation, but in my experience even women who claim not to like porn at all get aroused by it if they do watch it.
