Used to do a fair bit of coastal kayaking a few decades ago. The closest I've got reciently was being chased by a 2 person kayak at this years Eddystone Challenge. (Gave us a darn good challenge keeping abead of them as well.)

A nice still lake will lead to slightly turbulent to.......................

Be prepared for a serious addiction!

But the world is full of awesome kayaking rivers & coastlines, - go for it!!
