in the rock division a lot of people said Kiss, Creed and Nickleback.... some wanted Rush and journey added... some radical people were really controversial and mentioned nirvana, foo fighters, bon jovi and aerosmith....

I wanted "keane" in a box of it own marked the definition of bland has a picture of these guys next to it!!!

My kids started arguing on a shopping trip and the insults started..."you like one direction" and they almost started properly fighting then.

I have seen Noel on Whistle test performing Wonderwall on acoustic guitar, it was good, could have done without his brother, but Oasis live were awful.

I can't agree with The Beatles as Lennon/McCartney have written some of the most covered songs in popular music. Was every track on every album a classic? No, but they were pretty stoned for a good deal of it. Nonetheless their achievements will probably last far longer than...

THE BAY CITY ROLLERS.

The tartan phenomenon influenced the teenybopper music, fashion & culture. A couple of decent pop songs & even a TV show, but oh how many of us prayed for the day when it was all over & we could buy clothes again without tartan trimming. However that said, as time has moved on I do catch myself singing "Summer Love Sensation" & "Shangalang" in a nostalgic moment. (Shoot me now!)

Sorry, but I have to say you are wrong. The Sex Pistols may have been a band, look and ethos manufactured by Malcolm McLaren and Vivienne Westwood. But everything about them was original and (like the Beatles) had so much influence they changed popular music. The fact that they were mediocre to down-rite bad musicians does not matter. That after 35 years they are still contravention show they cannot be called overrated.

I play guitar badly, I know people that play,really play, they all think jimmy page is top five greatest guitarist of all time.

He is technically great and theres lots of technically great guitar players, (steely Dan made a good living using session players), his range of styles is better than anybody's, and his song writing was awesome moving from melody to rift!

Yes he wasn't original but that was his brilliance, he just absorbed music influence and put things together to make his own path.

You might not like LZ but you can't deny there musicality
